• The Gorkhaland Chronicle was established on 15th August 2008, for the express purpose of recording and reporting all aspects of the Gorkhaland Demand.
• The Gorkhaland Chronicle will record and report history, facts, news and all information related to the Gorkhaland Movement.
• The Gorkhaland Chronicle is completely apolitical. It will never be affiliated with any political party, voluntarily or under duress. It will wholeheartedly support all that is beneficial, in its opinion, to the movement. It will wholeheartedly speak out, if necessary, against all that is harmful to the Gorkhaland movement.

• The Gorkhaland Chronicle will report History and Facts that are credible, researched and verifiable. There will be no reporting of rumors/hearsay or poorly researched and unverifiable articles.
• The Gorkhaland Chronicle will make all attempts to collect and present all news article regarding Gorkhaland. These articles will be collected from various sources, online and offline, and every attempt will be made to accurately and fairly attribute all sources and acknowledge all rights of the authors.
• Readers are welcome, and encouraged, to contribute articles and letters. You will be given full credit for your work, of course. Publication of reader-submitted articles will be at the discretion of the editors.
